everyone mentioning Romania, but in spite of the lower wages, there are also low prices and very low unemployment and it doesn't feature in the 'bad' lists below, except the one for GDP/capita.

by these lists it seems the Mediterranean is on a bit of recession lately (Greece, Spain, Italy, Cyprus and Croatia especially)
