I don't think so. Redneck culture is WASP I would not call Cajuns redneck just because they are from the south.

The entire south and midwest was controlled by the Spanish and the French, some of the names may be Americanized now but surely the blood is still floating around. You can find people of colonial Spanish descent in Virginia and Carolina, not uncommon.

Yes, I know it. But being a redneck is more like a culture to me, huh, WASP culture. Creoles/Cajuns feels nothing in common with the rednecks.

True, but I think op meant genetically. Most redneck culture is Scots-Irish specifically though Hillbilly culture is the more diverse culture, Rednecks are generally from lowlands.

Not true. Johnny rebel is a cajun singer. He is probably one of the biggest rednecks in history. Also, even WASP rednecks have other euro ancestry such as german, french etc

Yeah. I would not expect to see a French from Louisiana with a conf flag, but obviously there are exceptions - or wannabes.
