Very sad, the fact that many have acquired actual citizenship is bad and it'll be hard to just strip these people of it once Erdogan is gone.

That's the problem when you don't have the right type of 'brothers in religion' while having a religious conservative government at the same time.
And when the religion and its social fabric are very open to Hypocrisy like in present case, that just worsens, historically attracting all sorts of opportunists and losers (Janissaries, Sabatean Jewish sect being rejected by mainstream Jews, people seeking Tax breaks,etc).

Plus Turks in Germany have negative birth rate (Syrians have record) and Turks in Germany don't claim any German lands, while Arabs and Kurds from Syria claim lands.
