    Really, I remember the thief together with Jesus on the Cross, just his regret was enough to Jesus say he would be together with him in Paradise.

    As you can see, the weight of evidence is overwhelmingly for salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. And it becomes even more clear when you read these verses in context.

    So what shall we make of this? Obviously, it shows that we do good works because we are saved ... not that we are saved by the good works. In Galatians Paul lists the fruit of the Spirit, that is... good works that follow those who believe and are Christians.
