Most of the Krajina Serbs originated from area on the map marked with red. Their dialect originated from western part of that area.

This is for Serbian speakers. According to linguistic research speech of Lika Serbs is most similar to central Herzegovinian dialect around Neretva river (more similar than to east Herzegovinian).

For Stearsolina (she doesn't understand Cyrillic): Poređenje nekih govornih osobina u trouglu Lika - centralna Hercegovina - istočna Hercegovina pokazuje da je najviše jezičkih činjenica koje povezuju lički i centralnohercegovački jekavski tip.

Yes, but also from area of Užice and Čačak.

Austrian-Slovenian diplomat Benedikt Kuripešić, during his journey accross Ottoman empire in 16th century, found in Bosanska Krajina Serbs who said they settled from "Belgrade and Smederevo".
Thats the area of Smederevo sanjak, and red are villages who were in vlach social status, so they are most likely participated in migration toward west.

Some Krajina Serbs originated outside of region marked with red from my post. Their number is small. Among Krajina Serbs there is no even linguistic traces of old shtokavian Zeta-Raška dialect regardless part of Krajina Serbs originated from Raška.

For Serbian families from Potkozarje is written their further origin in literature. About 40% originated from BiH Herzegovina (mostly from east Herzegovina with minority from central around Neretva river), about 22% originated from Raška, about 10% from Old Herzegovina and Montenegrin Brda, 7-8% from east Bosnia etc.

I agree that majority originated from area marked red.
This area todays west Serbia that I mentioned is extension of Herzegovina region by language, tradition etc.
I wouldnt be surprise that some amount of us origine from this area, since it is recorded migration not only from Herzegovina sanjak, but from Smederevo sanjak, as well.

Historian Vladislav Skarić determined that most of Bosnian Krajina Serbs originated from Herzegovina, Raška and Montenegro, around middle https://sr.wikisource.org/sr-el/Исто...0;ћ)_4.4

For Herzegovina he thought only on BiH Herzegovina, for Montenegro on present day borders without north, and Raška is northern Montenegro and SW Serbia.
