    This whole statement is nonsence.

All my ancestors are Krajina Serbs, and we are genetically full ethnic Serbs, slightly Slavic shifted than average.

Krajina Serbs preserved the best Dinaric singing "ojkanje" typical for all Dinaric Serbs. Even today on every Krajina Serb gathering "ojkanje" is present.

    Beautiful!

Down is smaller part of names and surnames in Žegar from Venetian cadastre 1709. from original document. All names in this sample are Serbian folk names of Slavic origin, except Sava which is of biblical origin but popular among Serbs since Saint Sava (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Sava)

I have to say i didn't know what "Krajina Serb" is, i had to read the entire thread.
I heard about some "Krajina" in Slovenia only.
If by Vlachs you are considering remnants of Romans and Balkanians, aren't everyone on Balkan that kind of "Vlach" in various proportions?
If they are exclusively Roman speakers, than half
of Swiss and Belgians are Vlachs too.
If this is some kind of Shepard lifestyle, than the entire Balkan and Carpathians are Vlachs.
Whx is that an insult anyway????

Krajina Serbs are Serbs of todays Croatia and western Bosnia.

All South Slavs have pre-Slavic Vlach admixture including us.

I dont see term Vlach as in insult.
The point is that some Croats and Bosnian Muslim chauvinists try do deny our ethnic belonging to Serb ethnic group, calling us Vlachs.
We are no more Vlachs than any other regional part of Serbian nation.

I see. Agree,i dont see why would preslavic genetics and custums be an insult when along with Slavic they are so specific to South Slavic ppl,and its a nice blend.

In the late middle age and early Ottoman period term vlach in western Balkans had social meaning.

Ancestors of some Krajina Serbs were present in 14th and 15th century in Krajina areas (west of Vrbas rives), not all came in 16th century. For example paternal ancestors of Serbian families from northern Dalmatia who originated from Mirilovići clan are there since 15th century, because Mirilovići settled in northern Dalmatia from Herzegovina in 15th century. Another example is Serbian family Čeprnja (https://actacroatica.com/surname/Čeprnja/) who lived in several villages of northern Dalmatia until 1995. Katun Čeprnja is recorded in northern Dalmatia in 1401. and they came from Herzegovina earlier https://i.ibb.co/zVCDkgR/IMG-20220222-213436.jpg
Both Mirilovići and Čeprnje were in vlach social status and originally from Herzegovina as i said. Other old northern Dalmatian Serbian families are Marinčić, Korlat, Mutikaša and some others who lived there at least since 14th century, but probably they were not part of vlach caste as Mirilovići snd Čeprnje.
