Yeah I know, but Baal was worshipped all over the Middle East... was worshipped all over Mesopotamia, including Babylon. Sometimes under different names, but referring to the same deity.

And yes, these religions were started by the fallen angels of Satan, and some of these accounts of these gods were literal presentations of these fallen angels to the local people. Same with the Greek gods and Titans, aka Nephilim.
