Which country makes the best movies?

I like both American and French movies. What I hate are American remakes of French movies.
Nevertheless, there are exist numerous good movies from another countries, what we will never watch, unfortunately.

The USSR has always been able to.
Russia could until 2002.
America could until 2005, now there are only good series.
Europeans are great, and still pleasing.
In India and East Asia, there is also an increasing trend, unlike the United States and Russia.

Outside Hollywood would include French and British films, many German, Spanish and Swiss films are also very good.

I also include Asian films lately, the film industry in Japan, China and South Korea are filming good movies.

USA is what Im most familiar with so I vote for USA but Germany makes good movies too. Especially comedies. I think many other countries make good movies too but I didnt enough watched it. I think chinese make good movies too. I watched only one or two though. Bollywood sucks because it is mostly musicals, it is not even a real movie no drama, action or sensation or anything or special effects only singing etc. eventhough some romance movies from there can be good like "Hollywood Bollywood" or "A Stranger or Companion" or "Kutch Kutch Hotta Hai" Romance can be ok but I doubt a Thriller, Horror or Action or Historic movie can work out in Bollywood style.
