Czadeccy Gorals are one of the ethnographic groups of Polish highlanders. Their primary settlement area is the upper Kisuca river basin in Slovakia, near the city of Čadca. This group was formed in the 16th century from settlers from Cieszyn Silesia and the Żywiec region. A significant part of the Czadeccy Gorals went to Romanian Bukovina in the 19th century for economic reasons. Their original homes after World War II were outside Poland, so the Czadeccy Gorals decided to settle there where the communist authorities allowed them, i.e. Lower Silesia, Lubusz Land and Pomeranian Wall.
