I agree with your reasoning for why French and English Canada should split, but only if actual Canadians want it.

The USA were also kept united by force, even though right to secession was in their constitution. They supposedly had a constitutional right to secede from the Union, but when they did so in 1861, the Federals sent an army to "crush the revolt".

England always meddles in continental European affairs/politics, and has been Anti-Polish, that's why weaker England is in Poland's interest.
