Yeah and by considering that, this thread is a complete bullshit.

I am speaking of the majority of Eastern Turkey. Pontus are very Armenian genetically they were just Hellenized or Turkized recently. Pontic Greeks are Armenian genetically. However non-hellenized Armenians mostly lived in Eastern Turkey. The Southeast is different and some of the areas actually were Arab in origin before the arrival of Kurds or Turks to those regions.

Nah, it's all part of the Armenian Highlands. Pontus was Hellenized for the most part and Lake Van is in Southeastern Turkey.

    This is Southeastern Turkey

Lake Van is not part of it.

Van province is considered part of proper East.

Eastern Turks, Armenians and Kurds are all similar in appearance. This photo is from an article about an event in Eastern Turkey. The people might be Kurdish, who knows. But I think there is only a small difference between Kurds and Eastern Turks.

If that's what constitutes the southeast, then yeah.

Doesn't the Armenian Highlands refer to only the ex-Armenian territories? Hakkari, Mardin, etc. were more Assyrian historically whereas Artvin, Ardahan, etc. were more Georgian/Kartvelian.
