According to the Bible in antiquity, polygamy was very common and people saw it as natural.

People struggle to find time for one partner, I don't see how 5 is feasible. I think some individuals who partake in such "relationships" just use such terms to try and hide their degeneracy, calling it "5 boyfriends" or "partners" instead of fuck buddies.
