Yes very similar i see. Bitola once had alot of Jews in the city. Jews had the money in the Ottoman empire. Turks did not touch them. They would have had the money to build extravagant buildings for themselves.

It wasn't the Jews. They were mostly small business owners - cobblers, shoe retailers, jewelry store owners etc. The wealthy were the Chorbadjii and these were usually Patriarchists/Grecophiles, which the Greeks claim as their own.
