How long do you think it would have taken for the Anglo-Saxon admixture in England to become relatively consistent and similar to modern English people?
Do you believe the later English aristocracy of the 9th-11th Centuries (Alfred, Athelstan, Edmund the Martyr, Lady Godiva, Ethelred etc) were still mostly/nearly completely Germanic?
