Turkish nationalist image improved ever since 1990's, perhaps why. Even in Turkey, refugee descent politicians coming from different regions of the world were more respected than them. I am not a fan of Bahçeli especially regarding his politics, but under him, the image of Turkish nationalists improved. In the past, Turkish nationalists were marginalized with 1-2% votes. Now with him, the party reached +10% potential and a more respected image in the society. There was radical change. Obviously Turkish nationalists enjoy a bright image in Rome.
Romans want to establish link based on common symbolism and they want Turkish nationalists to support AS Rome.
Actually in the city of Rome, there is also Lazio. That's more right national than AS Rome but AS Rome now taking action.

Since when MHP is the representative of Turkic interests? Especially while they are assisting a neo-ottoman Syrian refugee-loving party that has turned the country into a refugee hub filled with shops with signs in Arabic letters undermining Turkish nationalism and encouraging Middle Eastern culture.

If anything; IYI Party is the sole representative of Turkish national and identity interests in the parliament.
