It's like a form of dictionary but instead for finding more fancy/literary words for otherwise simple straight-to-the-point vocabulary https://www.thesaurus.com/

Like you could look up the word "bad" in a thesaurus and find a more sophisticated equivalent such as "abominable", etc

Lol I sometimes google certain words and at the same time check for grammar and spelling but I don't care that much when posting on forums to use it all the time

I only use a thesaurus when I'm writing assignments for school and I want to change around the Wikipedia wording since teachers check assignments against Wikipedia at my school.
