In all honesty, I would try one...in a couple years. I actually think they will become more reliable as time goes on.

I like driving. I hope it will never happen. That it will never be successfully implemented as the only mean of transportation.

It's fully up and running, you can enter a self driving car in New York and get to California and with 5G it's even better. This being said I like driving as well.

The biggest social cost is of course the loss of jobs in the transport industry as it happens across many industries with automation, robotics, AI/machine learning as technology increases.
