I suppose that the people presented were chosen as 'Northern Russian' because of their current location, right? Well, keep in mind that people migrate very from city to city and region to region in Russia, so some of the people presented may not have any Northern Russian ancestry at all, they may just be, say, Ukrainians whose parents moved to work in Arkhangelsk, for example, which is very common.

Vyacheslav, what is your own admixture? You scored closest me on the thread figuring K13 similarity between members. It is obvious that you score between east and west Finns with me. West Finns would score around 1-4, east Finns 10-20, you 7. There are no west Finns on that reference. This does not mean common ancretry, but suchlike old admixture in some extent, which is interesting too.

I say they look typical for the region. They are corded influenced, really look like something I would describe Russian.

Agreed. Most of the Northern Russians posted in this thread looks very East Euro/Slavic and very different from Finns imo. I think they are migrants from other parts of the country.

Strong overlap with Finns in my opinion.

Very few of the overlap with Finns, even less with East Finns. They look predominantly Russian Slavic. I always wonder why North Russians give an angry vibe.

That's what I thought as well. They look like are recent Russian migrants. I think if we want to see strong overlap, we have to search for Karelians/Vepsians/Ingrians, Pomors or ethnic Komi.
