Default Will same-sex marriage and LGBT equality ever occur in the Middle East as a whole?

As of now, Israel, Turkey, and Lebanon are the only places in the Middle East where LGBT people can expect to be comparatively well off, and I do know there are grassroots movements in these places to extend equality but institutionally it is still not supported.

However, in most of the Middle East, the picture is much more grim.

Do you think this will ever change?

The Arabian Peninsula won't change that much, but other countries might (notably Iran, once the much-despised mullahs are overthrown).

    I hope not.

A penis goes into a vagina, not into an anus. Semen is supposed to be mixed with eggcells, not with fecal matter. That is all.

I think Lebanon will be the first Arab country for LGBT equality to take place. Then the next will probably be Tunisia.

Other than that I could not say. I think the non-Arab MENA countries will come first.

Do you support it Sikeliot? These things will hurt a lot of traditions and people.

Its impossible for LGBT rights to be established in a country without having separated the concept of church-state, the laws of Islam such as Sharia are imposed in the judicial law of these states, if the same thing happened in the West with Christianity, all LGBT would be in jail for sodomy, for example.

I hope this never happens there, and that the Western countries stop supporting such things like same-sex marriage and gender identity as well.

As long as the Sharia law exists in those countries, it will not happen, being a homosexual in a country where Sharia law reigns means the death penalty or torture.

In these countries, people are ready to kill one another over minor details, yet the only thing that matters for the OP is for them to celebrate homosexual marriage...

Even same sex marriage is federally legal in the U.S., it's highly doubtful it'll ever occur in a country like Pakistan, nor even in a moderate muslim country like turkey
