In eastern Europe a lot of countries don't have mountains though. So i think their records are more legit than one located at 3000 meters:



Also it's why Netherlands and Belgium have a lower record than their neighbors.

I just checked and -16ºC for us is at 1500 meters. As for towns below 1000 meters, our record is -12ºC in 1995.

Yes it was last serious winter here. Rivers were freezing. I hope it won't repeat soon.
