How can I convince my parents to let me watch South Park?

I'm 13. It's rated TV-MA, which means that some parents would find it "objectionable" for those under 17.

A lot of my friends get to watch it though, and I'm smart enough to know not to scream things like "uncle fucker" and "suck my balls" at school. Does anyone have any advice?

I watched it when I was 13/14 and didn't swear. It's the funniest then. Just go on their website and watch it there. Don't bother to ask your parents as it's not that big of a deal to watch

thanks, I'll try that. I use a VPN, so my parents can't track what I do online anyway

They're just trying to be protective. It's a bit over the top but with so many kids I totally get them.

Protectiveness is fine when the "kid" is 3. Not when they're 13. It's stupid to try and protect me from "adult things". I know all the swear words, I know about all the different types of drugs, I think about sex all the time and know what it is, and could even father a child of my own if I chose to, and know all the body parts and a lot of the other stuff.

13 year olds are underage in the sense that we can't have jobs and support ourselves, but there's no such thing as content too mature for us.

Yeah they're a bit ignorant but what can one do. They're your parents. Just pretend to be dumb and innocent and they'll be happy with you when you turn 18 or 21

I don't plan on maintaining contact with them once I come of age. They've done nothing to merit having a loving son in their lives.

^^Lol southern euros are so grumpy, aren't they? You'll find out that you'll be able to get away with a lot of stuff if you're able to deliver to your parents whatever they expect from you, whether that is outstanding performance at school, at sports, at the church choir, you name it.
