Can a relationship that starts in middle school actually ever work out in the long run?

It's possible but highly unlikely. I've seen more high school relationships last than middle school.

Maybe. I failed miserably. My parents started their relationship in High School, and they are together for 31 years. So, the answer is maybe. It depends a lot.

Sure, I know married couples who met in elementary school. 13 is a bit young to be thinking about this though.

I really am 13, but I feel like I'm essentially an adult. I can do everything adults do, except for the fact that there are laws against people my age, which is unfair. I know about adult things, like for example I know what sex is and how to do it, and I know all the bad words, and I know what prostitution and drugs and other adult things are. I even looked up violent movie scenes to watch when my parents weren't looking and they didn't scare me at all. The way I see it, I'm an adult in every way except by law, and I think I definitely could handle adult style dating.

You're not an adult, mate. Again, sorry to patronise, but not even close. We all felt that way when we were 13, though. Although, again, sorry to patronise.

What is one thing you are capable of doing that I'm not for a reason other than legal discrimination against people my age?

Are you Bobby Martnen? It's OK if you are. You have about the same level of maturity. Unfortunately that's more of a critique of him than a compliment for you, but it's not an insult for you

People your age are not fully developed mentally, physically, or emotionally, and have little to no life experience.

Again, I told you the answer would be patronising, and you wouldn't like it.

If you really are 13, I advise you to come back in this thread in 10 years time, have a read-back, and a little cringe
