Can a relationship that starts in middle school actually ever work out in the long run?

Anything is possible but it is unlikely, I had a friend that I knew since primary school, or elementary school for any Americans, we were great friends but we were seperated by high school. I reunited with her at 16 and we shared our first kiss, then started going out. At the time I thought we'd be together forever but we drifted apart.

I know 4 couples my age that are married, 2 of them dated their partner in high school and one of them, a girl I know, dated a guy since she they were 15 and he was 17. They married at 22 and everyone thought she was crazy to marry him 4 years ago, no clue if they are still together.

The average person is going to meet their life partner in their mid-late 20s from what I heard.

Why is it unlikely, though? 13 year olds are adults in every way except legally. I can do everything adults can, except grow a beard and have a low voice. But I know about all the adult things like sex and drugs and those kinds of things, and I know all the swear words, and I could even probably make a pregnancy happen. Name one thing 18+ people can do that I can't for any reason other than law discrimination against young adults like me.

My family came from Amsterdam in the middle of the 1800s. I don't think we ever lived in Pennsylvania.

Well to be honest that is more of an idealised image. In reality couples who marry at early age without experience are usually divorce soon or later, it is rarely last through the whole life imo.

More likely to happen one or two generations ago but I wouldn't say that it is impossible.

Thank god I'm out of that teen age mentality . You are more likely to find your true love in college than middle school or High school I will say that perfect dating date is something around latest 20s or earliest 30s which I haven't got there because love is something I'm not currently looking for .
