It kind of reminds me of British-Gibraltarian fashion guru John Galliano who said he thinks Jews should be sent to gas chambers. He was drunk when the private conversation happened outside a French cafe and he wasn't aware that some people were secretly video-recording his drunken private conversation with them. It wasn't a public statement and he was very drunk at the time. I don't know what transpired between them before he became angry and they started recording him.

However, Galliano was slammed by the world media and condemned on social media, fired from designing clothes for the French fashion house Christian Dior, and he was made to appear in French courts after he was arrested and legal action was taken against him as the French authorities stated that it wasn't the first time he'd made anti-semitic statements.

Supposedly the MMA guy had threats made to him for embarrassing traditional Chinese martial arts and has gone into hiding. If I was Chinese I would look at this and say to myself, "We should stop wasting our time doing silly stupid shit that doesn't work." Instead of being angry at the guy who shed light on nonsense.
