Did many Germans leave for America? How many Germans are left in Germany? Is it full of other European nations or are Germans still at the top percentage wise?

As in when the Germans left Germany like did other surrounding European nations come and live there and through like a hundred years became automatically German but are actually Polish or some other European nation and did they outnumber native Germans or is it also a small percentage of the population and are most still native Germans?

Still most Germans during that time a loss of population was easy to compensate trough the high birthrate.
