Who told you that? The Paisa region was an early focus of Basque immigration and also Asturian (my surname is most common in Antioquia and it's Asturian) but not just the Paisa region, all of Colombia. The starting point for Spanish settlers was Colombia's Atlantic Coast. So long story short, Andean Colombia was settled by Coastal Colombians.

I’m gonna be really honest with you I couldn’t remember the name of the Spanish ethnicity that influenced Colombia(I forgot). I just know they’re very Spanish influenced

According to oral family tradition E-FT155550 comes from a deserter of Napoleon's troops (1808-1813) who stayed in Spain and changed his surname.

Almost half of the galicians that left their land went to Argentina, and second place but far from the first, is Venezuela.

Some people think that the only Spanish immigrants to Venezuela were Canarians lol, when there were lots of Galicians too. Aside from some people of other Spanish origins, like my mom and her parents who were/are from Mallorca.
