The only hair and eye color statistics for French Canadians I am aware of come from observations of Anthropologists Charles Benedict Davenport and Albert Gallatin Love (1919) on A.E.F. veterans of seven different origins, including French. Both veterans with 3/4 French Canadian grandparents or 3/4 French grandparents were counted, although recent French Canadian immigrants to New England seem to have been emphasized.

Of 1,429 Veterans of French origin light and light-mixed eyes were found in 50.87% and Dark eyes in 49.13%. This is consistent with Northwestern France from where the Quebec settlers descend from.

For hair, Pronounced blondism (flaxen) was found in 2.72%, pronounced rufosity (clear red) in 0.77%, light brown in 13.88%, medium brown in 16.53%, dark brown in 61.72%, and auburn & black in 4.39%. No anthropologist has found a majority of dark brown hair in Northwest France, so it may be that French Canadians are darker haired than expected. However without standard scales we can’t be sure.

Flaxen or red hair is 0% in Romanians (present only in Transylvanian saxons and Ukrainians, where it is found in a significant minority). Light eyes are somewhere around 15%, most being light-mixed. Light brown (incl "blonde") probably: 5%. Medium brown 10%. Dark brown 75%. Black: 10%. By all means they are a more Southern population than French, roughly similar to Italians.

Among my German relatives (all Banat Swabians) or based on family pictures of their German fellows: 10% were blonde, 85% brown haired of all sorts, 5% black haired (yes, it happens once in a while). Light eyes were majority. Face wise there are the most difference, most being Faelids and Subnordids (with various admixtures), two phenotypes that do not occur in Romanians.

Germans are lighter than French, but not by much. There is an ample common ground between the two peoples with following differences:
- French do not have white-blonde hair in adults, but it is very common in children

Its pretty interesting because it has been fairly isolated throughout history too

It should be genetically fairly homogenous and gives an example that phenotypical diversity doesn't has to imply genetic diversity
