For people of European origin, I prefer the term 'European'. For Caucasoids, I'd prefer to use 'Caucasoid' or 'West Eurasian'. The term 'Caucasian' should be used exclusively for those from the Caucasus.

For people of SSA origin, I prefer the term 'Sub-Saharan'.

Caucasian is not a race but a meta ethnicity just like Slavic, Turkic, Italic, etc. For intance, Circassians are Caucasians but it sounds very nonsense to me to say Danish people are Caucasians because core population in Danish people is not in Caucasus but in Northern Europe.
