Yeah, I heard they are making a new television adaptation. Riding the Game of Thrones wave obviously. See also the new Star Wars series they are cooking for reference.

I honestly think that in theory Tolkien's Middle Earth stories should work better in television format where you have more space to fill in the little details and nuances. If done right of course.
