To me Lineage tells far more about a person than a DNA test. Numbers and figures do not tell the whole story. I find researching my family tree a rewarding experience. If you don't know how came before you, you don't really know who you are. The genetics testing is fallible and in it's infancy . I go by family names. For instance, I never knew I had so much French ancestry on my grandfather's side. But several of my ancestors came from France to Colonial Virginia. I was able to trace some family lines back to King Edward, III. I found out how several of my ancestors from Bavaria ended up in Richmond, Virginia. I consider that more a marker of me, than percentages and numbers on a test.

That's where the Bavarian build comes from, the legend is true.

A family tree is of course more important, you have names, birth places, dates etc, but genetic testing gives you an extra look into your family, your blood, your genes.
