They even score Serbian before Sicilian, so I don't know -- to me this suggests northeast (if there was northwest input, you'd see Tuscany coming up as second match, not Bulgaria). I would imagine they have northern ancestry from a source that is borderline like Poland or that area, which I think contributes much of the Slavic input into the Balkans.
