Dogs (humans best friends.... extremely interactive and responsive to humans, intelligent, very trainable, lots of fun to play with in parks, have a wide range of personalities to suit different people, come in a diverse range of shapes and sizes, are extremely loving and develop close emotional bonds with their owners, (dogs very often jump-up in excitement and lick your face when you arrive to show how much they appreciate and love you... and they love to curl-up in your arms or on your lap and be cuddled and stroked,) and they're loyal companions who protect and defend their owners and children.)

A very cute, affectionate, and intelligent little Yorkshire Terrier!

Dogs are very intelligent, protective, and loyal;- these are other qualities that I love about dogs. I feel a lot safer when I'm walking outside when I have dogs walking with me. Dogs also help to guide the blind and deaf, help to catch criminals, detect drugs and bombs and dead bodies, etc, help on search and rescue missions, and they help to save lives.

I frequently have a lot of nice dreams about either dogs or birds when I'm asleep.

Birds.

Cats. (Cats tend to be more aloof and fussier than dogs. There's a saying that 'dogs have owners and cats have staff.') A dog will make you feel greatly appreciated and loved when you arrive home... (tails wagging, lots of excitement shown, jumping-up and kissing and licking you, etc)... whereas cats can be snooty and aloof... and they tend to treat their owners like servants and can give a look as if to say, 'Oh, you're back - where's my food?' They rub themselves against your legs and purr to show they're happy. Cats are nocturnal and sleep a lot during the day. They're playful as kittens, but less playful as adults. Dogs are generally a lot more protective of their owners and they bond more closely with their owners and are a lot more playful. Cats tend to shed a lot of cat hairs over furniture and clothing. They're beautiful though and are good at keeping mice away from gardens and homes.
