Lukashenko suspected Moscow has desire to attach Belarus to Russia
Under the pretext of “deep integration,” the Kremlin wants to incorporate Belarus into Russia. Such speculation was voiced by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
“I understand these hints: get oil, but let’s destroy the country and join Russia. I always ask the question: things in the name of what are made? Have you thought about the consequences? According to him, the idea of incorporation arrives from Moscow under the guise of “deep integration”.

He also commented on discussions on the establishment of a single emission center and monetary Union, noting that “it is to create a Union from the roof, not the Foundation.”
