    Default Cultural map of Turkey

    I just saw this map on the web. I think this is pretty much accurate.

    Isn't Southern like Adana and Hatay full of Turkish Arabs?

    There is a significant amount of them, however these cities are largely European-like in the aspects of way of life, I believe.

    Because of Alawites.

    They were also invulnerable to the middle-eastern style of brainwashing.

    Alawites are largely European or Western-minded.

    Tunceli is like Bodrum of the East:

    Alevi =/= Alawite.

    These people are still properly Middle-Eastern, just not stereotypically.

    It still amazes me how you associate west with showing skin, you know Islamists do the same.

    I know that is not the same, I just mixed it up while typing. Alawites are in Hatay, especially in the districts of Defne and Samandag, they are also very similar to Turkish Alevis in terms of mentality. Someone said that Turkish Arabs are discriminated against, well, I'm not really a fond of Sunni Arabs like in Urfa but Alawites are mostly Kemalist and as secular Turks we have no problems with them. Also many of them identify as Turkish anyway.

    Tunceli people are only Middle-Eastern ethnically/genetically, other than that they have little to do with them in terms of way of life and culture. Tunceli has the highest amount of educated people.

    That is exactly why I support that. This is a revolutionary bulwark against Islamization.
