To you a Castizo is someone with 75% Caucasian ancestry or more or someone under 25% native? If I'm not mistaking this another Mexican American is officially 24% castizo but genetically Harnizo and looks sorta balanced mestizo.

By definition a "perfect" castizo is 75/25.
But it extended between 70% Euro to 87%.
More Euro contribution is "Criollo de vuelta" and less is "Harnizo".
But it's very difficult to say just only by phenotype. People are now too mixed, too much generations, so it's only possible to know with a DNA exam.

There is no perfect castizo after 500 years of mixing. Someone who is around 70-77% euro and 20-27% amerindian or 5% unnasigned which is usually amerindian is in the castizo range.I didn't include half anglo mixes,since i wanted to show what Spanish-basque-amerindian castizas look like.

Finally! A topica about castizos with DNA tests, that can be taken seriously. Yeah, as I though, castizos, opposite to what users of this forum think, look almost indistinguishable from iberians. What many people in this forum call castizos, are actually light skinned mestizos and some harnizos. Many of this people, the ones closer to 75% european, could walk in south europe with no problem.

Eso seguramente era así porque posiblemente consideraban que a la cuarta generación ya era prácticamente nada lo que se podría ver de extra - caucásico, entonces darles esa categoría puede que fuera para que continuaran casándose con otros criollos y no volvieran a iniciar un nuevo proceso de mestizaje...
