Of note is how corruption is falling in Argentina, Costa Rica, Guyana, Haiti and Suriname, whereas it is getting notably worse in Brazil, El Salvador and Mexico.

I am not sure about the current politics of either of them, though I do know that Guyana has for a long time been the poorest country in the Americas apart from Haiti and possibly Nicaragua.

Well if we consider the HDI, yes, Guyana is in #125, in between of Nicaragua and Guatemala.



Honduras is in #133, and Haití #168.
Suriname is located in a really much better place, in # 100!!
