How many Blacks are there in Greece?

A cousin of mine lives in Athens and he says that there are some blacks living there, I found that quite surprising. How many blacks are there in Greece and why do they want to live there?

There's quite a bit in Athens, they're usually concentrated in a few neighbourhoods

I haven't seen any in Thrace.

Those are legit natives for at least 300 years brought by the Ottomans from Sudan. Crete used to have many black Muslims who later with the exchange went to Smyrna. They are called Afro-Turks

Well,there are a few thousands of African legal immigrants who came after the 80s( mostly from Nigeria and Ethiopia) and live in the center of Athens.

There is also a village in North Greece whose inhabitants are black Muslims, they were brought by the Ottomans as Slaves from Sudan.

Now the numbers aren’t so clear when it comes to illegal immigrants, there are lots of African migrants who have been coming illegally along with Pakistanis and Arabs since the 2000s, but most of them usually want to settle in a country of North Europe.
