"Typical" looking Americans tend to look Germanic ?

Most White Americans claim to be German. That is the most common claimed ethnic group in America. Mostly because of the large Middle Country. Is it safe to say, that the prototypical American looks more German than anything else? You would probably see that look most typically. A cross of Alpinid and Atlantid. While there are still a number of British and Irish in the states, most Americans would stand out more in England than they would in Germany. My father , for example, people started assuming he was a native of Germany during his trips there. He is American as apple pie.

Very few Americans look like the people in the first OP pic.

Most Americans look like the mixes they are, primarily of English and Scottish, but many of German ancestry, some French, some Scandinavian, some Italian, etc. Most white Americans (or what we think of as colonial Americans) don't look incredibly like people from one country or another.

The average Americans to me are usually people of fully British Isles and German or Dutch descent.

Most Americans look like the mixes they are, primarily of English and Scottish, but many of German ancestry, some French, some Scandinavian, some Italian, etc. Most white Americans (or what we think of as colonial Americans) don't look incredibly like people from one country or another.

But most Americans would not pass as British or they might stand out a bit there. While in Germany, they seem to blend more into the mix.
