Pendolino, Warsaw to Kraków - PKP Express Intercity Premium (EIP) First Class Trip Report

I take Poland's headline train, the Pendolino from Warsaw to Kraków. These are marketed as "Express Intercity Premium" trains and I travelled in First Class. The fare? £12, or around $19! Train travel in Poland is easy and accessible for tourists.

Fliegender Schlesier (Latający Ślązak) SVT 137 type "Leipzig" relation Berlin- Bytom / Beuthen O.S. through Frankfurt Oder-Guben-Lubsko(Sommerfeld)-Żagań(Sagan)-Legnica(Liegnitz)-Wrocław(Breslau)-Opole(Oppeln)-Kędzierzyn-Koźle(Kandrzin-Cose)-Gliwice(Gleiwitz)-Bytom. Maximum speed on the route of 160 km/h (the test vehicle has reached a speed of 205 km/h). The train ran in 1936-39.
