Eurostar London to Amsterdam - the VERY FIRST train! 4th April 2018

Thanks for finding my video and pressing play! This is one trip I’ve been waiting to do for ages...and it finally came around. This trip doesn’t need much introduction. I was one of the few very fortunate passengers to take the first EVER direct public train between London and Amsterdam. Eurostar now run this train as of 4 April via Brussels and Rotterdam straight to the Dutch capital. It’s an incredible service. My journey was made more special by the fact I was in Eurostar’s top class of service, Business Premier (explanation of classes here:https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/travel... &#128578 As you know this is a particular highlight of this year for me so I really hope you also enjoy the video. I was very privileged to have made it.

Direct connection to the most beautiful city of the Low Countries. Head and shoulder above all of the other cities of all of the BeNeLux, easily. Provincial Dutch hate that city, though, but it's very well preserved. It might be leftist controlled, but it's a great tourist destination and also a lot safer than most capitals around (IMO). Safer than Brussels for sure and of course way safer than London and Paris.

A train ride from St. Pancras International Station under the sea to Amsterdam is approximately 3 hours and 41 mins. I don't know how long the ferries take to travel there, but it's approximately 1 hour and 15 mins by flight, although the train route is more scenic when the train is back on land and leaves the long Channel Tunnel under the sea.
