My great great grandmother Fatimat came from Circassia during the genocide, she spoke adiga and Russian. My great grandmother Rasmiat learned from Fatimat circassian and russian. And she learned Arabic and english in Palestine and jordan. Though my grandmother Khadija only learned Arabic and English from Rasmiat, and fine tuned her English in school. We don’t know why she didn’t want to teach circassian or russian completely to her however. So I only know a little bit from those two languages from my grandmother and talking with others.

Well, learning of any language takes some time which can be spent otherwise. So, I'm even surprised Russian was taught for one generation in a country where it has no use.
