    Default Learning astronomy

I decided to bring my astronomy knowledge to higher level than it is. I am going to revise my knowledge from the beginning to wherever I end up . THe fact that I did not manage to study astrophysics is not the reason to stop there. Thankfully to internet I am able to do what I was not able because of the lack of the money and stupid mathematics ( yes, I suck at mathematics, but I rock in physics ).

    Astronomy, here I come

Now, what I would like to ask you is, if you find somewhere online books regarding astronomy, add the link to this group, I would really appreciate that .

Astronomy is a great choice because it's such a fascinating subject.

You should look at a university professors websites where they post their course slides. Or if you just buy a book it should have all the sufficient information in it.

This was my textbook. (only costs $4 now!)

The coolest things in astronomy are the...
    1) Big bang background radiation
    2) H-R Diagram (shows the pattern for the life cycles and types of stars) (the differences are mind blowing- stars are fueled completely differently and some last 100 times longer than others etc.)
    3) How to determine the size and distance and temperature of a star
    4) The graph that determines if the universe is expanding (or accelerating in its expansion), staying the same size or shrinking
    5) Learning all the different crazy stars and things in the universe (neutron stars, pulsars and black holes- each one is absolutely mind blowing!)
    6) Finding out if a star is going away or coming closer towards our solar system (through a red or blue shift).

^Learning about the old ways people viewed starts is cool but that above list is the best part!

I'll message you my teachers website. He puts up free slides for the entire basic astronomy subject. (It is many many slides but if you get bored you can just skip to the good parts of the above list I showed you or just look at them on Wikipedia)
