100,000 bombs rained down on London in one memorable night during the Blitz (29th December, 1940) which shocked the world:

The British still didn't surrender to the Germans. Many people kept their morale and spirits up by singing, playing the piano in bars, reading books to kids, and took shelter by sleeping in the London Underground tube stations.
I put the vids in a spoiler. Where's your sense of humour?!
When I saw a claim about Americans being 'tougher people,' I remembered a video I saw... so I posted it. Basically in the video-clip an American guy and his buddies were mouthing-off and being cheeky to an English man and his mates.... and the Americans were acting all tough, etc.... and then 'Mr. Tough' received a whack.
It's kind of ironic and funny... but it's nothing serious... and it's not some large brawl.
There's no need to be so overly serious, pedantic, and cantankerous... you're too sensitive.
Also, Europeans are not a nation.
No kidding?!
I know Europeans aren't a 'nation,'
but I simply wrote 'Europeans' as a general term for all the European people who contributed and helped during WW2... to save on having to type all the names of the European nations involved in WW2, and I simply wrote 'Russia' as that's what lots of people refer to the USSR/Soviet Union as.
Besides, I had a very long day yesterday in a fairground on roller coaster rides, etc, inbetween shopping and a lot of walking around tube stations and travelling around on trains all over London. So I was feeling pretty exhausted when I returned home late and posted. So nah, I'm not 'upset' if I made any typos late last night... lol.
It's the Yule and winter festive season.
('Tis the season to be jolly.')
Brits and Americans often like to exchange banter and tease each other.... it's our passion, but nothing to be overly sensitive about - as it's nothing serious nor hateful between us.
We generally like Americans - even though they butcher English spellings.
(Joke... joke!)
Cheers!
