Venezuela will collapse on it's own without intervention, and we don't need their oil anymore. Nobody cares about Assad's dictatorship either. Only reason for trying to overthrow him by supporting rebellions and terrorists was to make it easier for the Gulf Arabs to run a natural gas pipeline through Syria to the Med. and Europe.

Russia has been parking TU 160 bombers in Venezuela for years, and they send ships there also. Technically Venezuelan law does not allow for foreign military base on it's soil but they could do it on Orchila Island. Looks deserted. Would cost a lot of $$$ though. The USA has USNS Comfort parked right off of Venezuela treating sick Venezuelans.

There is virtually no medical care in Venezuela, hospitals have no supplies.

Comfort overwhelmingly operates in that region. They attend to sick and injured from Hurricanes, Earthquakes, disasters, and wherever it can help.
Jamaica, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, Venezuela etc., been to all of these places.

USA has multiple bases near Venezuela.

On my first post of this thread I said USA have strong presence in Colombia, they do a lot of actions together, including attacks against narco-guerrillas. This ship was anchored in Colombia, as there are a lot of venezuelans refugees in Colombia, they also received this aid too.

And Venezuela is a dictatorship, any moment they can change law in obscure manners.

Then, in the event that the United States wants to intervene militarily in Venezuela, would it send its troops through Colombia or the Caribbean Sea?
