Why do so many ignorant people feel such a strong sense of pride for their own ancestry?
And a hatred for those of other ancestries? What have they done besides be born into something? Did you work your ass off to become whatever ethnic group you are? No. It is immature and childish.

You should take pride or at least be an active member of your community. It's not necessarily a case of being super chuffed that none of your ancestors are Mongolian or French. Civic pride is valuable, perhaps even essential for any society.
