Wait a second. I just saw something. I'm sorry to the OP, but when you put something like this out there, it obviously begs to be pointed out. That is, the thread started on December 16, 2018, entitled, "What ethnicities do you wish you were?" in which the OP contemplates what ethnicities he thinks it would be "cool" to be. And now he creates this thread!
Not trying to be mean; you attacked us first. Next time, don't call us "ignorant." If you're not satisfied with what you are, then that's YOUR problem - not ours. Perhaps you disagree with the concept of ethnic pride, but I assure you it does not make those of us who are of the opposite persuasion "ignorant."

I would actually argue that it does. Being “proud” of ones culture appears to be the default position for most people. It takes no effort and is just blind loyalty. On the other hand, being critical towards ones own background and seeing that it’s not any better than any other culture or race takes someone who is capable of introspection. I’m just a realist. Also, I’ve noticed that there is an inverse correlation between a persons IQ and how likely they are to be nationalistic/patriotic.

Because they have nothing else in their lives. It's also easier to blame other people for your own problems.

Im proud of my ethnicity and culture i feel very "content". Attacking others is a waste of time and childish.

Yeah, because it's quite a natural thing.
I don't find that to be true. I'm proud of being Italian, but my loyalty is to America. If some day it became necessary for us to fight Italy, I would still serve America by doing just that. (Precisely what Italian-Americans did en masse in WWII, BTW.)It takes no effort and is just blind loyalty.
Maybe it requires introspection, but ultimately it shows poor judgment. Having a sense of pride in something so fundamental about who you are is quite healthy and normal. It helps us from becoming, ahem, disaffected in general. It won't accomplish anything in life for you, of course. It only serves to accentuate the sweetness of life.On the other hand, being critical towards ones own background and seeing that it’s not any better than any other culture or race takes someone who is capable of introspection.
I've noticed there is a positive correlation between pseudo-intellectualism and anti-patriotism. These are the people who think that their freedoms come free, and can't even begin to comprehend just how lucky they are to live in America, or another Western country.I’m just a realist. Also, I’ve noticed that there is an inverse correlation between a persons IQ and how likely they are to be nationalistic/patriotic.
