iPads: Discussion Thread

I received a 9.7" iPad for Christmas. I have not yet turned it on because I mostly use my iMac desktop and I hear the iPad prompts you to create a bunch of profiles and passwords. I plan on using it to download apps and casual games especially language learning apps like Memrise.

Anyone else who owns an iPad feel free to talk about it here.

What is there to talk about iPad....

Apple is super boring with their various "protections", "passwords" etc... once you go through you will have very descent device for Internet Browsing.

Games are beyond Horrible (all of them) IMHO. The only joy of iPad is : 1. Watching YouTube (in Train, in a Bus, in car) 2. Convenient Internet Browsing 3. Reading Spreadsheets etc.... 4. Fixing your Gallery Images etc..

It really has it's uses beyond iMac or Macbook etc... especially on the GO.

I used to love mine, unfortunately I haven’t had access to it over the past 3 months becauce I forgot the Apple ID and nobody can help me with that.

Apple gets on my nerves with all these protection rules.

Why do you love it? Clearly there must be a way to recover your Apple ID.
