How Do You Usually Begins your Conversations?

When i want to talk with a person, i generally begin talking about what is happening around us.
If i know the person, i also like to speak about our momments in the past

Just saying hi and from there on conversation starts with that person. It’s automatic and mostly people who I talk with come up with subjects to talk about.

Depending on whether I know that person I can be either very formal or very informal.

Mode 1: "Excuse me, but (insert question or comment) - followed by an introduction (if this applies).
Mode 2: "Hello, mate ! How have you been, eh ? Listen.. ehm.."

Same here. If I dont know the person. I will also "Say Excuse me.... " and I will use the formal third person "Sie" in English I think this doesnt exist as everyone is You but in german there is "Sie" (formal) and "Du" (informal)

Same in Dutch. I am probably one of the few people in this part of the country that wouldn't dream of using the informal form of address to anyone older than me. Period. And that includes relatives - and yes: that would have included my parents.
