LOL. Well either way, from what I understand, Paris is rivalled only by Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro as having the biggest Portuguese population outside Portugal. (In absolute numbers at least).

Of course. Most ''Middle Easterners'' here are people who are half-MENA and half White or off-White Brazilian. There are even people with Portuguese, MENA and Japanese ancestry at the same time, like Sabrina Sato:

It is a shame how Brazil hasn't been able to integrate its Blacks like it has its East Asians and Middle Easterners, not to mention the countless European immigrant groups.

Oh yeah. Even before the big post-war migrations from its former Empire, France was very much a European melting pot - much more than either Britain or Germany.

Keep in mind France's population was in decline since 19th century. French population only pass from 30 millions in 1815 to 40 millions in 1914. In the same time UK pass from 15 millions to 50, Germany from 25 to 70.
That's why France became a country of immigration, but it was european until 1960-1970.

France is only 50% ''ethnic French'' if by French you mean the populations descending from ethnicities originary from modern borders of ''France''. Now it has around 20% non-European population as well.

The place is basically multicultural, there's no way to turn France ''French'' again.

I'm a french spanish mix. My spanish part goes back mostly from french Algeria in 19th century, some even in 1840's years ! But i have millions french ethnic ancestors in my blood too ! French people is not dead.

To be honest i would say most young white french (more than 50 and maybe 60%) have at least one foreign ancestry, mostly southern but sometimes belgian or polish.
