Both people and Jelali rebels seek refuge in Mountains for protection. There are many absurd looking settlements in Anatolia today founded in an unhospitable sphere. Hani derler ya bazen bu dağ başına ev kurulurmu, bu olaylardan dolayı kurmuş adamlar.

Consider the majority of Turkish population was still nomadic until 19th century. Forgot to mention non-Muslim population in Anatolia was only %7 during 17th century which doubled in 1914.

Janissaries didn't have any influence on the Turkish population since the majority of them was Turkish from the 17th century and their numbers were small before the 17th century. There was only 12 thousand Janisarry during the start of Suleiman's reign. Berkan mentioned deportation, ethnic cleansing, and migration from Balkans and the Caucasus in 19th and early 20th century though Circassians have similar EEA with Eastern Turks.

Makes sense. This is my theory: In Anatolian there were two groups of people, those with high EEA admixture and those without. After centuries, these two groups mixed. The EEA admixture didn't decrease as a result but instead became more evenly distributed amongst the population. So a long time ago there would of been more of a contrast than there is now.
